Blowsoc Charity Concert

Djanogly Recital Hall, Music Department
Featuring soloists and small ensemble performances from members across the whole of Blowsoc, this is guaranteed to be a fantastic evening of light entertainment. All proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research UK to help fund research into treatments.

Concert Band

Blowsoc’s Concert Band will be travelling to Chesterfield to join forces with North East Derbyshire Music Centre’s Festival Band. The Concert will feature lots of fun, recognisable repertoire performed by both bands individually, followed by a mass performance of River Dance and Chicken Run.

Wind Orchestra’s Dances

Holy Trinity Church, Lenton
Dust off your dancing shoes and waltz on down to the University of Nottingham Wind Orchestra’s Spring concert. The university’s auditioned wind ensemble will bring you an evening of dance music from composers such as George Gershwin and Robert Russell Bennett that is sure to get your toes tapping. The concert will also feature saxophonist Josh Mead, a music student at the university, who will be playing Iturralde’s Pequena Czarda with the orchestra.
